Privacy Policy
Private Table is a nearby voice app. It lets people at the same table hear each other through headphones.
What we collect
- Display name. You choose a name that is shown to people at your table. It is stored only on your device.
- Microphone audio. While you are in a table, your voice is sent directly to the other devices at that table over the local network or Bluetooth. We do not operate a voice server and we do not upload your conversation to our own servers.
- Live captions (optional). If you turn on captions, speech recognition runs on your device when Apple supports on-device recognition. If on-device recognition is not available, Apple may process audio to produce captions.
- Purchases. Host subscriptions are sold and fulfilled by Apple. We read your current entitlement so the app can unlock hosting. We do not receive your full payment card details.
What we do not do
- We do not create an account.
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your data for tracking or advertising.
- We do not keep a transcript of your conversations on our servers.
Nearby sharing
Other people at your table can hear your live voice and see the display name you chose. Leave the table to stop sharing.
Your choices
You can deny microphone, speech recognition, local network, or Bluetooth access in iOS Settings. The app cannot host or join a table without microphone and local-network access. You can delete the app to remove the display name and onboarding state stored on this device.
Subscriptions
Host subscriptions are managed by Apple. Restore purchases, cancel, or change plans in your Apple ID subscription settings.
Children
Private Table is not directed at children under 13.
